The Guild's highly successful Howard A. Newman Employment Development Program assists blind and visually impaired individuals in obtaining or retaining employment. Our team of specialists works carefully to match the skills of the job seeker with the employer's requirements and, once a new employee has been placed, The Guild provides extensive follow-up and support services.
Our employment specialists work with corporations, organizations and businesses to offer a variety of opportunities for clients, and, in addition, The Guild provides technical assistance at the job site and recommends necessary accommodations to prospective employers.
For individuals who require training prior to entering the labor market we offer a full array of programs ranging from basic communication skills training to advanced word processing. Our staff makes use of the latest technologies in providing instruction on multiple computer applications and the use of a wide range of assistive devices.
