The Jewish Guild for the Blind has entered into a collaborative arrangement with Jewish Home
Lifecare to create The Guild Institute for Vision and Aging, a new state-of-the-art residential
facility dedicated to the care of elderly persons who are blind or visually impaired. The new Guild
Institute will be located in a renovated section of the Jewish Home Lifecare Bronx Division, Harry
and Jeanette Weinberg Campus at 100 West Kingsbridge Road . This new facility will be equipped
with the latest amenities and features that conform to the most modern standards of residential
nursing care. Public and private spaces are designed with functional supports to accommodate vision impairments.
In addition to the creation of the new Guild Institute for Vision and Aging, The Guild is working with
the Jewish Home to launch The Guild Research Institute, a new research organization dedicated to
improving the quality of care on a national basis for all health care facility residents with vision loss.
