The Guild Institute for Vision and Aging

The Jewish Guild for the Blind has entered into a collaborative arrangement with Jewish Home Lifecare to create The Guild Institute for Vision and Aging, a new state-of-the-art residential facility dedicated to the care of elderly persons who are blind or visually impaired. The new Guild Institute will be located in a renovated section of the Jewish Home Lifecare Bronx Division, Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus at 100 West Kingsbridge Road .  This new facility will be equipped with the latest amenities and features that conform to the most modern standards of residential nursing care.  Public and private spaces are designed with functional supports to accommodate vision impairments.

In addition to the creation of the new Guild Institute for Vision and Aging, The Guild is working with the Jewish Home to launch The Guild Research Institute, a new research organization dedicated to improving the quality of care on a national basis for all health care facility residents with vision loss.
